You can record a voiceover from inside Wondershare Filmii’s Advanced Editing mode.
How to Record a Voiceover
Here are the steps to recording a voiceover in Filmii.
Step 1: Click on the microphone icon on the far right of the timeline toolbar.
Step 2: A menu of recording options will appear to the right side of the video preview. Adjust them as you like.
Step 3: Click Record. Unless you have turned the Countdown setting off, there will be a brief countdown on screen before recording begins.
Step 4: Speak into your microphone and Filmii will capture and record your voice. While you are recording, the video you are creating in your timeline will play. This is so it is easier for you to narrate your video.
If you need to take a break, click Pause. You can resume the same recording by clicking Resume. As you record, your voiceover clip will appear on your timeline.
Step 5: Click Off to stop recording your voiceover. The audio file for your voiceover will be added to your Project Media and saved to your computer. To locate it, right click on the thumbnail in your Project Media and choose Open file location.
Recording Settings
After you click the microphone icon you will be able to adjust the following settings before you begin recording your voiceover:
Device: select the microphone you want to record with from this dropdown menu.
Volume: choose how much volume your recording should have.
Countdown: choose whether or not you want Filmii to show you a countdown before your recording begins. This setting is turned on by default.
Mute Project: choose whether or not you want to be able to hear your video’s audio while you record your voiceover. Your project will be muted by default.
